Week 13 NFL Picks

BILLS (-2.5) over Titans

I don’t know what to do with either of these teams. How’s that for confidence?

Buffalo 28, Tennessee 24
Confidence Score = 2

BEARS (-7) over Chiefs
Chicago’s defense and special teams are going to need to do some work to cover this spread.

Chicago 16, Kansas City 0
Confidence Score = 4

DOLPHINS (-3) over Raiders
I’m still trying to figure out if having the Dolphins as the team I have the most confidence in this week is a good or bad thing.

Miami 20, Oakland 7
Confidence Score = 16

STEELERS (-6.5) over Bengals
Cincinnati lost by seven at home against the Steelers three weeks ago. I think they’ll lose by more this time.

Pittsburgh 27, Cincinnati 17
Confidence Score = 6

Jets (-3) over REDSKINS
Rex Grossman has been competent for too many consecutive weeks. It ends here.

New York 21, Washington 10
Confidence Score = 15

Falcons (-3) over TEXANS
T.A. Yates sounds like a character from “Justified”, not an NFL quarterback.

Atlanta 17, Houston 12
Confidence Score = 3

Panthers (+3) over BUCCANEERS
It makes sense to bet the over in this game, which means you should bet the under (loyal readers of this column will understand that sentence).

Carolina 35, Tampa Bay 31
Confidence Score = 8

Broncos (+1.5) over VIKINGS
God’s QB is getting a 1.5 points against a mediocre Vikings team with no Adrian Peterson? Where do I sign?

Denver 20, Minnesota 13
Confidence Score = 13

PATRIOTS (-20.5) over Colts
When I first saw this line, I thought I had accidentally looked up the line for the SEC Championship Game.

New England 52, Indianapolis 17
Confidence Score = 12

BROWNS (+6.5) over Ravens
We’re due for a Joe Flacco stinker.

Baltimore 14, Cleveland 13
Confidence Score = 5

49ERS (-13.5) over Rams
Look for the 49ers to bounce back at home against the sorry Rams.

San Francisco 21, St. Louis 3
Confidence Score = 11

Cowboys (-4.5) over CARDINALS
Dallas always has an interesting time playing in Arizona, but Arizona is even more putrid than usual this year.

Dallas 27, Arizona 13
Confidence Score = 10

Packers (-6.5) over GIANTS
When you get the Packers giving anything less than a touchdown, you have to take them. That and the Giants can’t cover anybody.

Green Bay 38, New York 21
Confidence Score = 14

SAINTS (-9) over Lions
No Suh equals big trouble for Detroit against the high-powered Saints.

New Orleans 41, Detroit 24
Confidence Score = 9

Chargers (-3) over JAGUARS
I feel bad for ESPN having to air this sorry game Monday night.

San Diego 24, Jacksonville 10
Confidence Score = 7

Season Record = 87-81-8
Top-5 Record = 30-28-2
